As you all know, Lucy hasn't really shown an interest in crawling, being very content to play with whatever or whomever is nearby. Until recently. Now she is a crawling machine. Now, I know it's not your typical up-on-the-knees-and-hands style, Lucy prefers what Matt and I affectionally refer to as her 'commando crawl' (or as our friend Tom asked her "You under enemy fire Lucy?") because she stays low to the ground, never lifting her belly but hey, it gets her where she needs to go.
But with this new world for Lucy ( Interesting holes in the walls! Fun cords!) came exhausting challenges for us (keeping her fingers out of the outlets and her mouth off the electrical wires) which then led to a visit from the babyproofers who in less than two hours made our home safe for Lucy to explore! She was naturally a little curious (and a wee bit bummed) that all of our exciting toys (computers, etc.) were locked away in Matt's office but then she went back to crawling after Rosie.
So while Lucy has adjusted just fine to the gates and latches, Matt and I are still having trouble because quite frankly, we're stumped by the gates and latches too.

way to go Lucy! No one can stop you now!!
Ok, this is my new favorite Lucy pic. She looks simultaneously surprised and delighted to have found herself behind bars!
