Lucy definitely got the spirit of Aloha on our recent trip to the Big Island---everything elicited her big smile, the palm trees, the waterfalls, the lush grass, the soft sand, and naturally, the ocean.

She just adored splashing in the warm waves, watching the bigger kids swim by. And, to Matt's dismay, her enthusiasm and dazzling smile did not go unnoticed by a few older gentlemen. Four-year-old Vincent and three-year-old Lyon spent some time impressing Lucy with their bubble-blowing and shovel skills. 'Twas in vain though.

Because despite the joys of resting under palm trees or snuggling with me in our beach cabana, the biggest delight of the entire trip was that Lucy got to spend an entire week with her hero, her beloved cousin Jack. He is the biggest thing since her feet in Lucy's book...now who wouldn't want that in a vacation?

I can't believe how big Lucy is getting. She is so beautiful! It's no wonder Lyon and Vincent were trying to impress her.
I'm jealous that she got to spend an entire week in Hawaii with Jack, and the rest of the crew.
