No More Refuge

Poor Rosie. We'll never know what she endured in Hurricane Katrina. She fears the ceiling fans in our house, and loathes going for walks. She has to listen to endless rounds of "Wheels on the Bus". She has to share her beloved her plastic blocks with Lucy. But on the plus side, she has an endless supply of food, cuddles, and a baby who thinks she is the best "Huzie" ever.

But as Lucy has become more mobile, her toys have lost interest and Rosie has found herself to be on the receiving end of rather assertive offerings of pacifiers and toys, a speed bump to be crawled over, and frankly, sometimes Rosie needs her space. Her fortress of solitude has always been the couch, a place where she can keep an eye on the goings on of her loved ones but remain above the fray.

Until now. Lucy has figured out how to pull herself up and now forgoes all her toys just to chatter away with her "Huzie". Sorry Rosie, guess you'll have to find another place!

Rosie loves it. She just likes to play it cool. It's her style.
