Lucy ventured to the Santa Monica Pier and Beach for the very first time for a playdate with older pal, Milla. The girls, covered in hats and about a pound of sunscreen each, lolled about on towels until Milla decided to make a break for it.
At 10 months, Milla just can't be contained and after a couple of swipes at Lucy's hat, Becky (Milla's mom) and I packed up the girls and headed to the Pier. We grabbed some cooling refreshments at the Coffee Bean (located right next to the E! booth) and then strolled to the carousel to watch the ponies go round and round and round.
Once again, Milla couldn't be contained and was itching to demonstrate her crawling abilities so after Becky and I debated whether a happy baby was worth testing the scuzzy floor, we let her have at it and Lucy watched contentedly.
When it was time to go home, Milla was black from the grime, Lucy was exhausted from staring at her, and both mommies were thrilled to be out of the house and to have talked with an adult for so long!
