
Last year, when we took Lucy to the pumpkin patch (see above photo) she seemed mostly content to sit, gazing at the pumpkins, maybe occasionally throw/taste some hay. This year, once again accompanied by pals Ethan, Benjamin, Marissa, and Naomi, the whole patch was a delightful playground. There were pumpkins to pick up, bales of hay to climb, pieces of hay to build with and suddenly Matt and I were racing around the patch scrambling to keep up (or to prevent ourselves from being obligated to buy one of those massive, eighty dollar pumpkins).

We laughed as we remembered how last year we used the pumpkins as props to keep her standing up, and now she uses them as launching pads. Next year, she'll probably be using them as trampolines!

i love, love, love the contrast between the turquoise and the orange in this picture! lu looks gorgeous.
i hate the 80 dollar pumpkins...i mean really!? 80 bucks for a pumpkin!?
what a difference a year makes! she is simply adorable!! will we get a post about carving pumpkins??
