Every morning Lucy races into school, eager to see who the "Helper of the Day" is in her group. It is a moment of pure joy and delight when she realizes she is the chosen one. The helper "gets" to announce the clean-up warning (see above), be first in line to wash hands, and then clean the snack tables with a real sponge! And the days she is the helper, she chats about it all day long. Then goes immediately back to wondering when her next turn will be!
