Yep, it snowed in Santa Monica last Thursday. Actually, it snowed at Lucy's school at 10:15 a.m. Okay, it was brought by a machine. But in Lucy's mind, it snowed for real that day.
She and her little friends loved the snow, gleefully scooping it, laying in it, packing it, and yes, tasting it.
They played until the snow began to melt into icy puddles (which given that the temperature was 70 degrees that day, did not take that long).
Once the snow was all gone, they trundled back into school for hot chocolate with marshmallows and discussed what they would do the next time it snowed...in Santa Monica..at their school. It's gonna be a long wait.

No special occasion. There is a mom from London who wanted her son to experience snow!!! And I want to visit you!1 Miss you!!!
