School Days...

Yes, it's true this fall my little Lucy will be starting preschool! Her school, aptly named The First School, has a little program called Stay And Play. It's a bit above the usual Mommy and Me classes we've done together, because we're beginning the separation process (sniff). I sit on a chair with the other mommies (some of them second-time moms who assure me we'll both survive) while Lucy learns the basics that will help her in the fall...
...how to wait in line to wash up for snack, ask a teacher for help when a friend takes your snack, take turns, sit in circle time, and tons of other little things that are quite demanding for someone who just turned two and a half (and is used to being attached to me at the hip).
But Lucy is doing fabulous, loving circle time (naturally her little voice is the loudest during sing-alongs), disappointed the days we don't have Stay And Play. How excited she will be in October when she goes every morning!
