Even at almost 14 months, Lucy has some very good friends of long-standing (Benjamin C. Benjamin R., Presley, Liam, Hailey, to name a few) and they have shared more than just Cheerios and Gerber puffs: they've supported each other in first attempts to sit up, shared beloved toys, even allowed their own mommies to hold them so you know these friendships are strong.

But there is one relationship that may just be stronger than all of those (and of even longer duration, see the photo above). Lucy and her enduring love for the baby in the mirror. That baby is always there---at Bloomingdales, the drugstore, Mommy and Me---feeling whatever Lucy happens to be feeling at that exact moment but thankfully as soon as she sees her friend, she quickly smiles.

And it doesn't even matter the size of the mirror, that baby always manages to find Lucy. Now that's loyalty (or a stalker but I'm going with the former).

it's good her self esteem is so strong. of course she probably doesn't know that's what it is yet but she will one day. i love watching her so i can't blame her for staring intently.
what a cute post!
