Less than a month ago, our hearts were crushed when we had to say good-bye to our much loved, much adored, and much cherished Rosie. We swore we wouldn't even think of adopting another dog until sometime in 2017 for we knew no dog could replace Rosie and the mere idea of loving another canine seemed far-fetched. Then we saw Penny's face, and then we met her. Right away, it was clear she was the dog for us.
We worried that it was too soon but we realized that Rosie had actually trained us to need a dog in our house. And that while we can never have another Rosie, we will never have another Penny and that we can love them both.
So as of October 17, 2016 Penny was formally adopted by us and came home. And now, even though we mourn Rosie, our hearts are bigger and peppier now that Penny is part of the family.
