This past weekend, we went to San Diego so Lu could participate in the Roar & Snore event at the Wild Animal Park! She was super excited to spend the night at the park, to hear the animals as she fell asleep in the tent, and of course get up close with the residents of the park (as a future ethologist, this is right up her alley).
She had such a wonderful time----petting armadillos, eating s'mores under the stars, and learning all about the animals and the different programs the park runs to help the animals thrive.
Thankfully she slept well in her tent that the next day she had enough energy to ride the Safari tram and was happy to be joined by her Uncle Andy.
Not even a little bit of rain could damper her enjoyment of the park! But once the thunder and lightening began, she was ready to call it a day. Still, she can't wait to go back!
