No question about it, Lucy is a bona-fide city girl (check out the green plastic pearls she rocks to school) but today she got in touch with nature, courtesy of the Children's Nature Institute (a.k.a. CNI) which visited her school.
They took her group on a walk around her school, spotting ants, spiders, and various types of plants.
Once the walk was over, the CNI teachers brought out real live animals for the children to examine, touch, and learn about.
Yep, that's the Lu holding a real, squirmy snake named Svetlana. She also gently pet a giant tarantula, lizard, and turtle.
And a skunk. I think she is now a little bit country, and a little bit city (or rock n' roll, as her glittery headband would suggest).
